The Secret Ingredient to these Tender Meatballs

These Instant Pot Turkey Meatballs come together in 20 minutes but they taste like they have been slowly simmering all day. They are super flavorful but what makes them so so tender and moist is this:

Plain Greek Yogurt.

The lactic acid  from the yogurt tenderizes the meat while adding subtle flavor. The addition of egg and parmesan cheese help keep the meat together so that you get delicious weeknight meatballs in minutes. Simple as that.

I like to add rustic chopped onions and garlic and for busy weeknights, I “cheat” with a jar of Marinara Sauce. From someone who used to think that not making your own marinara was blasphemous, trust me when I tell you that Rao’s Marinara Sauce is worth every penny. It is smooth and balanced with the perfect amount of acid and herbs. If you’re on a tighter budget, I recommend Bertolli Traditional Marinara Sauce.

I like to add a bit of wine to round out the flavors of the jarred tomatoes and it helps thin out the sauce a bit so it’s not super concentrated and “tomatoey”.

You will never go back to making meatballs the traditional way because these are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I had to make them twice in a row because my family could not get enough.

Serve over a bowl of spaghetti, mashed potatoes or even a pot of white rice. You  may want to double up as these will go quickly!
