Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry
Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
For the Meat Marinade:
- 1 lb Flank Steak, cut into ultra thin strips
- 1 TBSP Wok This Way Seasoning Blend
- 2 TBSP Hoisin Sauce
- 2 TBSP Vegetable Oil
2 TBSP Rice Vinegar
For the Sauce:
- ¼ Cup Chicken Broth
- 2 TBSP Rice Vinegar
- 2 TBSP Hoisin Sauce
- 1 TBSP Soy Sauce
- *1 TBSP Ginger Paste
- 1 TBSP Honey
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
- 2 tsp Sesame Oil
For the Stir Fry:
- 2-3 TBSP Vegetable Oil
- 10-12 oz. Broccoli Florets
- ½ Cup Water
- 1 tsp Wok This Way Seasoning Blend
- ½ Cup Green Onion tops
Notes* You can find Ginger Paste in the Fresh Produce section of your grocery store. This dish goes perfectly with steamed white rice.
Instructions
Step 1:
Season flank steak with Wok This Way Seasoning Blend.
Step 2:
Mix marinade ingredients together and toss meat in it. Let marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 4 hours refrigerated.
Step 3:
Meanwhile, mix sauce ingredients together, ensuring that cornstarch is whisked in thoroughly.
Step 4:
In a large skillet over high heat, quickly add 1 TBSP Vegetable Oil.
Step 5:
Drain flank steak and quickly cook on one side. After about 1 minute, stir-fry meat for about 1-2 minutes. (it’s okay if it doesn’t cook all the way through).
Step 6:
Remove and add 1-2 TBSP of vegetable oil. Quickly add broccoli and toss for about 1 minute. Add ½ cup water and cover with a lid. Lower heat and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 7:
Remove lid and add beef along with sauce mixture and 1 tsp Wok This Way Seasoning Blend.
Step 8:
Increase heat to medium and allow to cook until sauce thickens and meat is cooked through (about 2-3 minutes).
Step 9:
Top with green onions and serve over a steamed bowl of white rice.
