Crispy Asian Tofu Bowls

Ingredients:

  • 1 package extra-firm tofu
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari)

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1tbsp Wok This Way

  • 1 tbsp ginger paste 

  • ¼ cup corn starch

Peanut sauce:

  • 2 tbsp tofu marinade

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1tbsp sriracha

  • 3 tbsp peanut butter

Crispy Asian Tofu Bowls

Instructions

Step 1:

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture before marinating.

Step 2:

Make the marinade- whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, Wok this Way and ginger paste together in a small bowl.

Step 3:

Set aside 2 tbsp of marinade for the peanut sauce.

Step 4:

Marinate the tofu for at least 2 hours. Less time is ok, however you’ll get much more flavor with a longer soak.

Step 5:

Make the peanut sauce and set aside.

Step 6:

Dredge the tofu with corn starch. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once warm, pan-fry until crispy on both sides.

Step 7:

Serve over steamed rice with shaved carrots, green onions and thinly-sliced cucumbers, topped with the peanut sauce.
