Slow Cooker Turkey & Sweet Potato Chili


  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey, 93% Lean
  • 1 Onion, small-diced
  • 2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • *2 Medium Sweet Potatoes, peeled and small-diced
  • 2 TBSP Texy-Mexy Seasoning Blend (Divided)
  • 2 14 oz Cans Black Beans, undrained
  • 1 28 oz Can Fire-Roasted Crushed Tomatoes
  • 3 Cups Chicken Stock
  • **1 TBSP Chipotle Pepper Adobe


Slow Cooker Turkey & Sweet Potato Chili

Notes* You can also use 16 oz Frozen Sweet Potatoes, defrosted. **You can find in Latin American section of grocery store.


Step 1: 

In a skillet over medium high heat, crumble and brown turkey.

Step 2: 

Add onion and salt. Sauté until onion is translucent and soft.

Step 3: 

Add sweet potatoes and 2 TBSP Texy-Mexy.

Step 4: 

Add skillet ingredients to slow cooker along with remaining ingredients.

Step 5: 

Close lid and cook on high for 4 hours or until sweet potatoes are tender and chili has thickened.
