Smash Burger Tacos
Servings: 6
Ingredients:
- 1 lb Ground Sirloin, 90% Lean
- 1 TBSP Steak It Easy Seasoning Blend
- 6 Flour Tortillas
Sauce:
- 2 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 2 TBSP Ketchup
- 1 TBSP Sweet Relish
- 1 TBSP Texy-Mexy Seasoning
*Mix all sauce ingredients together in a bowl. You may make and ahead and chill.
Toppings:
- 6 Slices American Cheese
- Shredded Lettuce
- Diced Tomatoes
Notes* This is a perfect recipe to cook on a black top or large griddle. Otherwise, you will cook one at a time on a skillet. You can keep smash burger-tacos warm in the oven while you finish the others.
Instructions
Step 1:
In a bowl, season ground meat with 1 TBSP Steak It Easy Seasoning. Mix thoroughly with hand.
Step 2:
Roll out about 6 burgers but do not flatten.
Step 3:
Place meat in center of flour tortilla. Start to flatten with fingertips, working your way towards the edge of the tortilla. Meat should be about 1⁄4 “ to 1⁄2” thick.
Step 4:
Place a little oil on black top or cast iron skillet. When hot, place tortilla meat-side down. Cook for about 5 minutes over Medium to High Heat.
Step 5:
Carefully flip tortilla with spatula and lower heat to low.* Place American cheese and allow to melt for one minute.
Step 6:
Remove from heat and cover with sauce, lettuce and diced tomatoes. Fold and eat like a taco.
